Best Portable Tool Box Period

I’ve used alot of other brands of portable tool boxes The Montezuma portable works the best. I leave it on equipment out in the weather without ever having to worry about my tools.

Great Toolbox!

I’m a shop foreman for a large european auto shop and I use this tool cabinet everyday. It gets a lot of weight put in it and abused. It holds up great and I will buy another one before I ever look at another Mxx tool box again. A comparable Mxx toolbox was twice the price and smaller!! Not to mention it was slightly lighter weight and a lower payload tolerance. This is a great toolbox for the professional, and overkill for anyone at home! Great deal!

One happy customer!

This is a GREAT TOOLBOX! I had a smaller Sxxx Ox set that this tool box replaced. What a great buy – the quality and craftsmanship are impressive. After loading the new toolbox and using it for a couple days I’d put it up against the best that Sxxx Ox or Mxx has to offer. I farm and ranch for a living so everything from complete SAE AND METRIC 1/4 to 3/4 drive sets, wrenches sets and a big varitity of air tools and attachments plus alot of special tools plus everything else inbetween, so there is alot of weight in the bigger tools, it takes hardly any effort to move the chest plus all the drawers roll smooth as silk even the heavy ones. A big THANKS to Shannon you were very helpful ,I would recommend this tool cabinet to anyone, Thank you to StrictlyToolboxes and Montezuma Mfg. for a high quality product at an extremely good price Sincerely Hooter in Mo.

montezuma toolbox

I purchased a 72″ toolbox a few months back and I was impressed with the quality, design and price. It put the other’s to shame. Of course, upon first glance it appears to be a brand name tool box but without the big ticket price! keep your quality up and the sales will come!

I first saw these tool boxes in 2008

I first saw these tool boxes in 2008 on the wheat harvest in the western states. I liked the design from the start but when I got back to PA, I couldn’t find them. I recently found them through A&W Direct and got the manufacturer info and located them here. I love this tool box. You can get all nescessary tools into it and it doesn’t take up too much space.

Love the toolbox, good quality for the money, has some quirks

I bought the exact setup in black,, really nice tool box for the money!! i have used it professionally now for 7 months….I wouldn’t have bought anything else for $5k! you cant touch this much tool box for $5k anywhere… Has better slides that comparable Sxxx-Ox toolbox, the guy next to me has the same set up in Sxxx-Ox , his tool box is worse than mine, his hutch is better quality but about 5 inches smaller in height inside, and I have a stainless shelf in there which is awesome! His side cabinet is twice as nice as mine though… the cabinet is way too narrow.. needs to be 24 inches like comparable brands all are…. i hate the side cabinet. the casters are awesome,, I have to roll my toolbox every week and it move easily! especially with the TWO!! HUGE chrome heavy duty end handles it comes with,, no higher end brand comes with 2 with a side cabinet.. things i DONT like….. I have to use 3 different keys everyday to unlock and lock as all 3 pieces of my toolbox came with different keys which is stupid.. the powder coat is ok, but they didn’t prep the metal good on my hutch door in the top and the paint is all bubbled about 6 inches long, has been like that since day one.. and it scratched extremely easy.. the draw slides are awesome, but the bump stop are cheesy, the little rubber stoppers in the back of the 30 inch deep tool box is a pain in the butt to keep putting back on after they fall off in 2-3 months use,, i have been gluing them on with oil pan silicone to keep them there.. OVERALL I GIVE THIS TOOLBOX A 9 OUT OF 10 FOR THE VALUE AND OVERALL HUGE AMOUNT OF ROOM I GOT FOR ONLY $5000….. The Sxxx-Ox hutch is almost that much… Thank you !!!

better than the truck brands for a great price.

My tool box came in today and I got the side cabinet mounted, great toolbox. It’s as good or better than the truck brands for a great price. Thanks, Rocky

Getting my son organized

I ordered a MTZ-ME300AL-BK last Feb for my son after we took his car to a local auto part store to change out a weak battery right in the parking lot. It was plenty cold and I wanted to hand in the old battery and make sure the cables etc were OK. I knew he had tools because i had given him a set and it was in his car. Well, half the tools were lost and we froze our butts off trying to make do with a 5″ adjustable wrench that barely turned a 10 mm nut buried in a U shaped clamp There was no deep socket for the other side which came unhooked as it loosen and fell down in a tight space. We had no long nosed pliers to fish that out and then stabilize it for reassembly. There wasn’t a free finger turn with the corrosion All the tools he had were jumbled up in a toolbox and this was aggravating in that sub zero parking lot with a failing sun. After a few choice 4 letter words and my son reminding me it was my idea to change this out in Car Quest’s parking lot I told him i knew of a tool box that literally could save his a__ the rest of his life. It would have room, missing sizes were obvious, is was indestructible, waterproof, lockable and fairly portable. I thought it would be a great gift. Once, as he reminisced about Xmas gifts he said some of the best were the ones he didn’t ask for – like that first set of tools. He needed an update and I didn’t like freezing my a__ off in that parking lot

72″ Montezuma Elite w/Locker & Hutch

First of all Shannon and his staff are great to work with. They all seem to know where and when you can expect the tool box. They answer the phone and return e-mails promptly, very impressive these days! I had a name brand toolbox which I was quite fond of but lost to a house fire. I could not see spending that much money again knowing there was a better value out there. After spending many hours searching I came upon strictlytoolboxes and placed an order. Never having done this before I was very nervous. No need to worry! I run 15 trucks and could not have had this tool box as quickly as they got it to my terminal! The packaging and the toolbox looked great! I have absolutely no complaints!!! Great job guys!!!

GREAT TOOLBOX

This is a great portable tool box puts your tools where they are easy to get to and is very well built. It may be a little small. I wish I would have got the next size bigger. Would defiantly buy another one.

Great Box! Great Price!

I ordered this tool box about a month and a half ago and it finally showed up. I was updated as far as when it was going to arrive and the staff was very helpful and professional. I couldn’t wait to get everything set up and check out this completed monster of a toolbox. My friends and I are very impressed with this toolbox and when I rolled it into work the shop stopped to check this tool box out. Very easy to set up and sturdy craftsmanship. The finish and stainless top are awesome. I think the shelf in the hutch is probably my favorite part of this toolbox. Couldn’t ask for more from this tool box. Thank You Strictlytoolboxes.com.

Make Truck Brand Buyers Look Like Fools

Verified Reviews – StrictlyToolBoxes.com (1)

*This toolbox is used in a Professional Automotive setting everyday within a very large Toyota Dealership* I ordered the Montezuma Elite 72″ with Hutch about 3 months ago and feel I have had enough time with it to give a thorough review. First off, let me say that I couldn’t have been happier with the service given to me by Strictly. Joe is incredible, answers all questions and gives you updates on everything. He really gets involved right about when the box is delivered, making sure you, the buyer, understands the entire delivery inspection process. When the box is delivered, it looks as well packaged as any highly important package. It took a good deal of time to get the tool boxes out to check them over. I looked over every inch of the both pieces and found absolutely nothing wrong. There was a hole punched through the exterior wood board, but there was so much protective foam and packaging inside, that nothing got through. This is a testament to their incredible packaging job, and the care they give when delivering your toolbox. After everything is out and setup, I really got to take a good look at how massive this thing is! These tool boxes are tanks, and are very solid. Believe me, the 1400lbs that this setup is quoted at, is no exaggeration, there’s a lot of steel in this tool box! It took 4 of us to lift the hutch up on the tool box. Only odd thing, is that I found I had to drill through the SS top to mount the hutch. Maybe I did it wrong? But i couldn’t find any other way to mount it. The mounting hardware is hidden so no one would ever know. After the hutch was mounted, I was able to start playing with things. The hutch door opens with a little muscle required just because of how thick and rugged it is. As it rolls back in, it makes a nice thud when it engages it’s stop. The ONLY complaint, is that it doesn’t go in farther. I keep worrying i might bash my head on it, but when i looked at other hutches, it seems to be a typical trait of all hutches. So no points deducted! The shelf is way nicer than most would thing. Keeping things up out of the way, but still within reach is such a luxury that many in the shop get jealous about. As far as lighting, I have two 36″ fluorescent lights. One on the backside of the hutch door (so when it opens its right above the shelf), and one under the shelf which really brightens up the work surface. I love the SS top with the textured finish. I get a lot of compliments on it, as no truck branded tool boxes have a top like this. It really does catch your eye when walking by. When working on it, it is very solid and does not interfere with writing, as I was concerned about that. The drawers on the tool box are all very solid and open/close with authority. The large drawer up top is immense and will fit anything you throw at it. The fact that is also has two shallow “superwide” drawers below it are a HUGE plus. Most truck brands only offer one. With two, i can put longer screwdrivers/pry bar sets in the first, and in the second, my huge pliers collection. There’s definitely no shortage on space in it. The drawer liners are very tacky and keep tools, etc from sliding around when closing or opening. They really are premium liners. The six sprung casters with 4 brakes really aid in moving this boat around. I honestly don’t know how I would move this toolbox over uneven surfaces without them. Not only do they work and look good, but they take stress of the tool box when rolling over rough surfaces. My tool box came with two polished, heavy duty handles, one for each side. I don’t know if I got an extra or if you really get two, but it’s nice when positioning it into a spot. The paint finish is very nice and looks like automotive quality. I’m quite particular of my things and take very good care of stuff. I wax it once a week and wipe it down with mist detailer every night. So it has stayed looking incredible. It does seem to like fingerprints… But I’m sure every tool box does. All in all, i couldn’t be happier. It makes my job easier everyday and is a joy to work with. I come in every morning smiling when I see it. It really is THAT nice. I was actually looking at a Mxxxx 5s box for more than what I spent on this, except it was only 56″ wide and 25″ deep with NO hutch. I knew it just wasn’t going to cut it size wise. This tool box fits the bill perfectly. Huge size, incredible quality, and an amazing value. I have been recommending Montezuma (through Strictly of course) to anyone looking for a new tool box. A few apprentices have just started a bit ago and are in need of a tool box that will suit them for awhile without breaking the bank. I showed both of them this site and they immediately decided to bail on the little, overpriced Sxxx-Ox boxes they were looking at. They were even discounting them 50% and were still more than an equivalent Monty. Another Master Tech here claimed he was going to order a Hutch for his Mxxxx after seeing mine just because of how expensive the Mxxxx one was. I seem to be converting a good deal of techs in the shop. The others just walk away with their tail between their legs, knowing they spent 3x what i did for a tool box that in my opinion, isn’t any better. Montezuma is about to take over. With their prices and quality, I can’t see any reason why they wouldn’t.

Portable Tool Box

I worked a summer on the wheat harvest out west and we had these tool boxes on all our service vehicles so I was fully aware of the strength of these portable toolboxes when I ordered it but it has still continued to amaze me. I hunt northern Pennsylvania and in deer season I spent an entire week running rutted, rough, dirt roads on rock and in mud and not one tool fell out of its place in my tool box. It’s also very easy to get tools out of.

Nice Toolbox

Verified Reviews – StrictlyToolBoxes.com (2)

I am a former professional auto technician, currently an engineer still working on my hobby cars. This tool box is just what I needed for my current ongoing garage renovation. The quality of this toolbox is excellent. I like the size but I will say that 30″ deep requires you to open the draws a long way to get at tools in the back and reach a long way as well. I might want to consider the 24″ deep version the next time. Also my first toolbox arrived damaged. Following all the inspection procedures sent to me by Strictly Toolboxes resulted in an immediate return and they got me a new one out the next day. I was very happy with working with them on this. Montezuma Elite 72×30 17 Drawer

Of all the tool boxes I have checked out, this one gets the trophy! I have studied every make and model from the most expensive Snap-On to Kobalt, Craftsman to Harbor Freight, Matco to Husky, and Montezuma could not be beat. Price, storage capacities, weight capacities, quality of material and workmanship, ease of ordering, courtesy of employee, and delivery time were all outstanding. I highly recommend Strictly ToolBoxes to everyone I see looking at tool boxes now. In the photos I posted you will see two pics of myself AND my brother standing in one of the long drawers and one of the small drawers. Both drawers had a 500 pound weight capacity. Together, my brother and I weigh about 420 pounds and the drawer never even flexed. We were even able to move the drawer easily while still standing in it. If I could post a video of it I would. I hope I can find enough tools to fill this massive tool box and then have to buy another one just for my specialty tools. I hope you are as happy with your purchase as I am.

Best Tool Box Made

I had seen these tool boxes when i worked in ND. I have looked every where for them and this is the best site i have found. One of the best parts about the tool box besides all of your tools are right there and you don’t have to go digging for them, is the toolbox is weather proof. A must up here.

Elite Combo Review

By far the best money ever spent for a toolbox. Every person that has walked through shop has stopped to inspect this tool box. The techs cannot believe the value compared to the tool trucks, nor could they believe how heavy this thing is built. It took several men to pick the hutch up and onto the tool box. I am beyond satisfied. Will recommend this to anyone in the market for a large well crafted tool box.

Best Purchase EVER hands Down

Verified Reviews – StrictlyToolBoxes.com (3)

My husband has been a Mechanic for close to 30 years spending the last 20 plus working on heavy equipment. We have bought many toolboxes over the years including Snap-on, Mac, Craftsman and other but this Montezuma by far is the best he has ever had. He is so impressed by it in many ways. He was a little skeptical when he saw the price — wasn’t sure of the quality he would get but it is the best he has ever used. The price is a great deal — awesome value for the money, delivery is not only free but easy and quick. The toolbox is of the highest quality – – Sturdy, strong deep draws to fit everything with ease. Really there is just no better deal out there and now he will never purchase from anywhere but Strictly Toolboxes again. Also their customer service is top notch — always get a live person that picks up by the 2nd ring and they are happy to answer all your questions. If you are looking for a new toolbox then I highly recommend the Montezuma Elite — it is an exceptional value and a great product.

Awesome tool box

Well here is my 9 month review, this tool box has not aged at all unless you count grease smudges that I haven’t cleaned off. Everything works flawlessly and for the price this tool box is a home run. Everyone in my shop commented on how nice the tool box looked when I first got it and I think it will still look great in 10-20 years. One of the other mechanics just got a nice 72″ Snap-on and it looks nice but for 10K it is nowhere near the value as this tool box. You could buy three of these boxes for that price! Great toolbox, love the wide top drawers, and the heavy duty roller bearings on all the boards.

light and tough

Tool box is light and tough enough for me to throw in back of pickup for road box. It is also easy to see if all tools were put back before leaving the job since they are all in plain sight. Wish I would of bought one sooner.
